🌼 Care & Cultivation Guide
☀️ Light
Thrives in bright light to partial sun, ideally 22,000-38,000 lux (~2,000-3,500 fc) — most ideal in early morning or late afternoon sun with shading during midday heat

🌡 Temperature & Humidity
Prefers warm to hot conditions: 20-30 °C (68-86 °F) in daytime; nighttime no lower than 16 °C (60 °F). Does not tolerate temps below ~13 °C (55 °F) .

Requires high humidity: around 70-87% for healthy growth

💧 Watering & Moisture
Roots operate as moisture sponges—ideal conditions involve daily misting or soaking, especially in warm weather, with roots allowed to dry before evening. Avoid standing water

When potted: water once the medium begins drying; bare-root/basket-grown plants need frequent watering or spraying

🌱 Fertilization
A heavy feeder: fertilizer weekly during growth periods (spring through fall). Use balanced orchid feed with occasional high-phosphorus formula to enhance blooming

🌿 Potting & Mounting
Best grown in slatted baskets or mounted—allows aerial roots to thrive. If potted, use coarse orchid mix (bark, charcoal, sphagnum) with excellent drainage

Repotting every 2-3 years is typical, ideally at the end of winter when new growth starts; avoid disturbing plants during hot periods or bloom times

🌸 Blooming & Propagation
Blooms appear primarily in winter and spring, each lasting several weeks, often reblooming multiple times per year if conditions remain stable

Propagation is mostly via keiki cuttings/side‑shoots from mature plants; seed propagation occurs only under lab conditions
